What a day! Blowing snow, a nice skid through a snowbank, a near concussion-causing fall, and -40ºC in the windchill. This photo was taken just before I fell with my camera, shattering the glass into uncountable pieces.
... and then some. UV filter's totally gone and dented and cannot be removed from the lens. I can still take photos, but may have shifted elements and gear issues inside. There's funny noises, and zomming in the 50-200mm range is very stiff. I'm taking it to the Camera Store tomorrow morning to have the full damage assessed. What a week of camera expenditures!
